Chardon Healthcare Center Earns Prestigious 5-Star Rating

Chardon, OH (Feb. 23, 2016) – Chardon Healthcare Center is proud to announce its 5-Star overall rating from the Centers of Medicare and Medicaid Services. The healthcare center, located in the heart of Chardon, offers short-term rehabilitation, skilled nursing care and long-term care options. In addition, Chardon Healthcare Center offers specialized programs for cardiac care and veterans.

To earn an overall 5-Star rating – the highest rating possible — a facility must score high in multiple areas of operations, including clinical quality, staffing and an annual survey conducted by the Ohio Department of Health. One to five stars are awarded in each category.

“This is an enormous accomplishment for our staff,” Chardon Healthcare Center Executive Director Richard Gebhard said. “It is a true credit to the dedication of the great team we have.”

In 2014, only 15 percent of the nearly 1,000 Ohio nursing facilities achieved an overall 5-Star rating, according to the Ohio Department of Health.

Through unique, specialty programming such as cardiac care and dedicated veterans’ services, Chardon Healthcare Center is committed to improving the quality of life for all of its residents. The center boasts a 93 percent patient satisfaction score, as measured by an independent third party, the National Research Corporation.

“The Chardon Healthcare team welcomes all patients and their families as our own and that is very evident from the moment you step through the door,” said Patty Hall, the center’s Admission Director.
