CommuniCare Grows Its Family of Companies Becomes second-largest provider of skilled nursing care in Maryland
CINCINNATI, Ohio (January 18, 2016) –CommuniCare Health Services welcomes seven new healthcare centers to its family in Maryland and West Virginia, increasing its ability to offer specialized post-acute care to residents most in need.
As of Jan. 1, the seven former White Oak Healthcare facilities became a part of CommuniCare, making the company the second-largest provider of skilled nursing care in Maryland with 15 total facilities and nearly 2,000 beds. With this critical mass of 15 facilities centrally located, CommuniCare can further refine the specialization of services to meet the growing community’s needs.

The additions bring the total number of healthcare centers operated by CommuniCare to 50 in five states, Ohio, Maryland, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Missouri. The new centers in Maryland are located in:
Baltimore [Blue Point Healthcare Center and Northwest Healthcare Center]
Clinton [Clinton Healthcare Center]
Kensington [Kensington Healthcare Center]
Salisbury [Anchorage Healthcare Center]
Towson [Holly Hill Healthcare Center]
The West Virginia center is in Charles Town [Willow Tree Healthcare Center].
