BALDWIN HEALTH CENTER ADDS ALZHEIMER’S, DEMENTIA UNIT

(PITTSBURGH, November 23, 2015) – Baldwin Health Center, a facility within the CommuniCare Family of Companies, announces plans to add a Connections Unit, which focuses on Alzheimer’s and dementia care.

The Connections unit, which is designed for patients who suffer from Alzheimer’s and other dementia-related illnesses, will offer specialized programs implemented by life enrichment specialists who act as liaisons between patients and the Alzheimer’s Association.

Baldwin Health Center is a skilled nursing center, offering short-term recovery and rehabilitation services provided through our Advance 360 unit, as well as long-term care services, focused on patient’s emotional and physical well-being.
The 50 bed Connections Unit addition will enhance the already existing, state-of-the-art, safe environment for residents.
