Berea Alzheimer’s Care Center is a 50-bed facility that offers the knowledge that comes with many years of experience providing comprehensive nursing care and physical rehabilitation for individuals with dementia in a safe, secure and therapeutic environment. We are conveniently located just south of Cleveland Hopkins Airport. Our thoughtful, sensitive and well-trained staff strives to provide a loving, supportive and therapeutic environment to enhance the lives of our residents. We encourage family participation, extend our support, and offer education to assist families in coping with and understanding the changes that occur as their loved ones progress through the disease process. We monitor the need for consultation/evaluation and provide services when ordered.
This is our residents’ home and we want them to feel comfortable here. Our dementia-friendly environment was thoughtfully, carefully and appropriately planned to address the specific needs of those with the disease and designed with warm, soft, neutral colors to provide a calm, less agitating environment for our residents, and a home-like appeal. In order to assure your loved one’s safety, we offer a well-designed and secure environment, which promotes safety, even as it allows for large walking areas, indoor walking area, and secured outside courtyard that permit residents a safe, positive exercise outlet to help meet the needs of those individuals who may be in the wandering stage. We are a secure facility equipped with an enclosed outdoor courtyard. We recognize that familiar routines are a very positive aspect of our residents’ daily life. As such, we provide an individualized care plan that may involve self-care, homemaking and a wide variety of therapeutic programs that enhance the functional well-being and self-esteem of our residents.
