Our Motto

Heal Faster… Home Sooner

Recovery See Rehabilitation >

We strive to do more. That’s why we provide an array of comprehensive programs and services to meet the challenges of our residents, whether they’re recovering from surgery or an acute illness. Our goal is to restore every individual’s highest level of functionality and strive for an enhanced quality of life.

We Assist in Recovery

  • Bipap/C-pap

Bipap/C-papPatients who suffer from sleep apnea may require BiPap or C-Pap treatment options. Our staff is there to assist with these devices that increase patients’ sleep and quality of life.

  • Cardiac Recovery

Cardiac RecoveryWe offer a professionally supervised program to help patients recover from heart attacks, heart surgery and procedures such as stenting and angioplasty. Our cardiac rehab program provides education and counseling services to help heart patients increase physical fitness, reduce cardiac symptoms, improve health and reduce the risk of future heart problems, including heart attack.

  • Congestive Heart Failure (CHF)

Congestive Heart Failure (CHF)Today, there are more options available to treat heart failure than ever before. Regular medications and lifestyle changes coupled with careful monitoring is the first line of treatment. Our caring staff specializes in the treatment of heart failure.

  • COPD Exacerbation

COPD ExacerbationOur team of healthcare professionals helps prevent or manage the problems caused by COPD in patients who struggle with this disease. Our plan typically combines exercise, breathing therapy, advice for eating well and education.

  • Diabetes Management

Diabetes ManagementTreatment for both forms of diabetes requires keeping close watch over a patient’s blood sugar levels (and keeping them at a goal set by the doctor) with a combination of medications, exercise and diet. Our staff will pay close attention to what and when patients eat, to help minimize or avoid the “seesaw effect” of rapidly changing blood sugar levels, which can require quick changes in medication dosages, especially insulin.

  • General Weakness

General WeaknessMany patients experience generalized weakness and fatigue not related to another illness, and our caring staff will take measures to help patients feel energetic again including alternating rest and exercise and diet and lifestyle modifications.

  • Intensive IV Therapies

Intensive IV TherapiesFor patients in need of regular IV therapy, our skilled staff is trained in providing intensive IV care and regiments. Keeping patients on regular IV schedules improves patient comfort and outcomes.

  • Pain Management

Pain ManagementPain management is important for ongoing pain control, especially if a patient suffers with long-term or chronic pain. After our patients undergo a pain assessment, our caring staff will assist in administering pain medicine, other pain treatments or psychotherapy to assist with pain relief.

  • Pneumonia

PneumoniaEarly treatment of pneumonia is most effective, and our staff is trained to watch for the signs of pneumonia and to diagnose it early. Treatment includes antibiotics, antiviral drugs and supportive treatment (i.e., medicine to ease chest pain and relieve violent coughing, and sometimes oxygen).

  • Pulmonary Care

Pulmonary CareOur caring staff provides respiratory failure patients the opportunity to successfully wean from ventilator dependence and achieve their highest functioning level. Due to our continuity of care, many patients return home breathing on their own.

  • Renal Disease Services

Renal Disease ServicesKidney (renal) disease can cause fluid and waste buildup, caused by diabetes, infections, high blood pressure, hepatitis and other conditions. Our staff is trained to treat these patients with renal disease including those on medications or dialysis and those who have had kidney transplants.

  • Stroke

StrokeOur goal in rehabilitation is to improve function so that the stroke survivor can become as independent as possible. This must be accomplished in a way that preserves dignity and motivates the survivor to relearn basic skills that the stroke may have taken away – skills like eating, dressing and walking.

  • Tracheostomies

TracheostomiesProper care of a patient’s tracheostomy is important, and our staff is trained in tracheostomy care, including how to keep the valve closed during the day so patients can talk and breathe normally.

  • Tube Feeds

Tube FeedsA feeding tube is a medical device used to provide nutrition to patients who cannot obtain nutrition by mouth, are unable to swallow safely or need nutritional supplementation. Whether placement is temporary for the treatment of acute conditions or lifelong in the case of chronic disabilities, our staff is here to provide care for these patients.

  • Urinary Tract Infection (UTI)

Urinary Tract Infection (UTI)UTIs are very common in elderly patients, and our staff is trained to test for and monitor treatment of UTIs. Our goals of treatment for UTIs are to relieve symptoms, eliminate the infection and prevent recurrence, and prevent unlikely but serious complications such as kidney damage and sepsis.

  • Wound Care Management

Wound Care ManagementOur staff specializes in treatment for patients with pressure ulcers, serious wound complications or those recovering from extensive surgery.

  • ACP’s Megapulse® II Shortwave Diathermy

    ACP’s Megapulse® II Shortwave Diathermy

Our Mega Pulse II Shortwave Diathermy equipment, for the application of electromagnetic energy to the body at shortwave frequencies, is used to treat a wide range of conditions with successful outcomes. This electrotherapy elevates the tissue to a temperature at which optimal healing can occur. Shortwave diathermy is continuous, rather than pulsed, when it is necessary to treat a larger anatomical area. These medical issues include acute and sub-acute traumatic and inflammatory conditions, chronic rheumatoid and arthritic conditions, resolution of hematomas and pain relief. This system is widely recognized as one of the most reliable and efficient devices in the industry. It provides uniform heating for patient comfort and safety, and output parameters have been carefully selected for use with the elderly.

  • AlterG® Anti-Gravity Treadmill

    AlterG® Anti-Gravity Treadmill

The AlterG® Anti-Gravity Treadmill utilizes differential air pressure (DAP) technology, developed by NASA for use in training and rehabilitation. Cleared by the FDA in 2008, the AlterG® Anti-Gravity Treadmill is a medical device that can be used for the following:

    • Rehabilitation of Lower Extremity Injuries
    • Treatment of Neurological Conditions
    • Weight Reduction
    • Aerobic Conditioning
    • General Training to Combat the Diseases of Aging

Unweighting is achieved in the AlterG® by using air in a pressure-controlled chamber to gently lift the user. Precise calibration, using patented technology, allows for very specific unweighting in 1% increments to as low as 20% of the user’s body weight. Clinical studies show these treadmills can help decrease ground reaction forces in walking and running. The restoration of normal gait mechanics is paramount to optimal recovery and can be accelerated by this patented unweighting technology.
